ChatGPT: How you can leverage AI in your business

ChatGPT and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are very hot topics across all industries, and real estate is no exception. More and more people are incorporating the use of various AI tools to help in increasing efficiencies in their business practices. If you have not delved into the using it just yet, or have only recently started, here are some ways you can leverage AI to aid you in creating efficiency for your business.

One of the best ways to leverage tools like ChatGPT and AI is for content creation for marketing campaigns or lead generation. Having to come up with content, whether for brand awareness or responses to inquiries via your website or social media platforms, AI can be a great tool to supplement what you are already doing. ChatGPT can be integrated into a website's chatbot to answer common questions that potential clients may have, which aids in the speed to which a potential client’s questions are answered, which in turn, can assist with converting website visitors into leads.

The reality is, you can ask AI anything. Similar to searching online via a search engine like Google, tools like ChatGPT churn out responses that it feels are the most aligned with the prompt you are providing it.  The more detailed your question or prompt, the more it will impact the response from the tool. However, it is also important to remember that AI is generating a response based on that prompt, but it may require some finessing to ensure it has your brand’s tone of voice and is accurate. Always make sure that you review any content prior to posting and make sure it aligns with your company and its goals and objectives.

Here are some great examples of how you can leverage AI, with specific examples and prompts you can use when creating content.

ChatGPT is also a great tool for creating templates for specific tasks. For example, you can leverage it to help draft a response to a potential buyer. (Prompt: ChatGPT, draft an email response about a property I have listed for a potential buyer who came through my website).

You can also leverage AI for creating listing descriptions. By developing a prompt, you can leverage the same template repeatedly, updating the pertinent information for each listing. (Prompt: ChatGPT, draft a property description for a property listing that has XX bedrooms, XX bathrooms, located in XX area. Please make it engaging and marketable to potential buyers.)

ChatGPT can be used to help caption your social media posts. Whether you are posting about a listing, real estate facts or statistics or education, you can leverage AI to help provide engaging content for your social media channels. (Prompt: ChatGPT, draft a short caption to accompany a social media post about why it is important to hire the right real estate professional when selling a home.)

Blogs continue to be a great way to engage with your target audience. However, writing blog posts can be fairly time consuming and requires resources to review and edit content. AI can be leveraged to come up with blog post ideas, as well as drafting preliminary content for a post. As a writer, I leverage ChatGPT to review my articles for grammar and flow. (Prompt: ChatGPT, please provide me with a list of potential blog posts that I can use on my website. The audience for my posts are for First Time Homebuyers.)

ChatGPT can be leveraged in so many different ways. This is what the tool generated when asked to create 10 great prompts for real estate agents.

As an experiment, I asked ChatGPT to "generate a list of 10 great prompts that real estate agents can use when marketing themselves" and it provided a helpful list! While some were useful, others may not make sense.

So go ahead and start playing around with it. Ask questions, try different prompts and see what comes of it! The conversation around AI is just really getting started. As AI technology continues to evolve, the possibilities for its use in the real estate industry are endless. Look for future articles on the various platforms that are emerging.
